Trash Pumps are used where water containing solids such as sticks, stones, mud, sand, gravel and other foreign material is present. Homelite is original name for these trash pumps which are now made under the Riverside brand. Trash pumps have the capabilities of ordinary centrifugal pumps, with the added ability to handle solids of up to about half the suction inlet size. wing nuts on the pump housing allow quick access for clearing the pump end.
